Affiliation with ABE
ABP is affiliated to the Association of Business Executives (ABE), an awarding body established in 1973, operating in over 100 countries and fully recognised by the UK regulatory authorities for qualifications.
The Association of Business Executives offers high quality business qualifications worldwide. To find out more about ABE click here to visit their website.
ABP's Relationship with ABE
In December 2010, ABE entered a formal, regulator approved partnership agreement with its sister awarding organisation, ABP. This means that although ABP is not ‘recognised’ by the regulator it is able to operate qualifications accredited through ABE.
ABE is responsible for the quality assurance of those accredited qualifications. Whilst the day to day operation to the requirements of ABE quality assurance systems may be undertaken by ABP, such activity will subscribe to regular monitoring by ABE and reinforced by an annual audit of ABP.
Monitoring conducted by ABE will further ensure that the following processes and procedures operated by ABP, meet the appropriate requirements of the arrangements and relevant internal standards.
However, unlike ABE, ABP is not a membership body and all communication in relation to individual assessments and learning outcomes is through the tuition provider.
Benefits for Students
Through our partnership with ABE, students registered with ABP on certificates or diplomas can apply one year’s free ABE Affiliate membership. This is normally worth £30 for the first year and the benefits include;
- Free electronic copies of Student Focus, ABE’s quarterly student magazine
- Access to the services available in the ABE Members’ Area which include the Student Focus archive, book discounts, NUS Extra Card (for UK-based students) and ABE study support resources.
To take advantage of this offer simply fill in the form in the Affilliate Membership section at www.abeuk.com/membership.php and post it to ABP. We will then verify your application and pass it to ABE, who will contact you with details of your membership once the application has been processed.
ABE and ABP will endeavour to process your application as quickly as possible but please allow once four weeks for confirmation of your membership.
Completion of any ABP programme allows the learner to become a 'student member' of ABE at a reduced rate (25% discount).
Single Unit Qualifications
By completing single-ABE unit qualifications (awarded by ABP), students can obtain exemptions from full ABE qualifications - great for those who aren't yet sure they want to commit to longer ABE qualifications.
