Student in ABP Accredited Education Centre

Accreditation

ABP can accredit in-house programmes at any level and of any duration – potential clients include employers, training providers, colleges etc.

In-house programmes accredited by ABP are assessed internally by the centre and then externally verified by ABP. For further details about ABP qualifications please see:

ABP can also accredit programmes that are delivered and assessed in languages other than English.

The ABP Qualification Rationale form provides more information about the qualification accreditation process.

ABP centre-approval is automatic for those centres already approved by ABE. All other centres interested in obtaining approval from ABP should contact info@abp.org.uk. The procedure includes a review of the centre’s resources and may also include a centre visit by an ABP representative.

Endorsement

For very short training programmes, where formal assessment may not be appropriate, ABP can endorse the programme content and learning outcomes. The endorsement procedure can be outlined as follows:

  • The centre provides ABP with details of the in-house programme (units) and a programme rationale. If required, ABP can assist the centre in developing the programme
  • ABP will review the programme to ensure quality, relevance, clarity, etc. and provide the centre with constructive feedback which may include suggested amendments/enhancements
  • The centre undertakes all delivery, assessment and certification of the programme – ABP has no involvement in any of these activities and has no direct contact with the centre’s clients
  • Any certificates issued by the college to the learner can include the ABP logo and the statement: ABP endorses the content/learning outcomes of this programme

ABP can also endorse programmes that are delivered and assessed in languages other than English.

For more information regarding the ABP endorsement services, centres should contact info@abp.org.uk.
