New ABP Courses

ABP has developed a suite of short, introductory courses in: Sales and Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business English, Event Management, Purchasing & Supply, Project Management and Customer Service. These programmes will be externally assessed by ABP.

ABP has developed postgraduate level qualifications in Business/Management and Computing. These programmes will be assessed internally by approved ABP centres and externally verified by ABP.

University Agreements

Holders of ABP Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management will be given 80 credits from Masters programmes awarded by the University of Worcester. On completion of an additional 100 credits, students will either be awarded an MBA or an MSc in Management depending on the focus of their dissertation and their managerial experience. The dissertation can be completed by distance-learning and will be supervised by email. To complete either Masters programme, students will be required to attend a two-week intensive summer school at the university. The University of Hertfordshire (shortlisted for the ‘2008 University of the Year’ Award by the Times Higher Education Magazine) has agreed to grant exemptions to holders of the postgraduate level ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems Application Development. Learners will receive 60 credits (from 180) from a range of Masters degrees awarded by the university.

ABP is negotiating agreements with the University of Worcester, Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Hertfordshire whereby holders of the postgraduate level ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management will receive up to 105 credits exemptions (from 180 credits) from a range of Masters degrees awarded by the universities.

Trade Mission to Dubai

The CEO of ABP, Jason Raife, recently embarked on a successful Education and Training trade mission to Dubai, sponsored by the UK government and lead by Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham. ABP now look forward to working with numerous centres in Dubai and the surrounding region.

Islamic Banking and Finance

The Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance (IIBI), one of the world’s leading independent academic and research organisations solely dedicated to the promotion and implementation of Islamic finance, recognises the following ABP qualifications:

  • ABP Certificate in Concepts and Principles of Islamic Economics
  • ABP Certificate in Islamic Finance
  • ABP Diploma in Islamic Finance

Holders of the ABP Diploma in Islamic Finance can be admitted onto the (distance-learning) IIBI postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance, a qualification which leads to Masters programmes awarded by Durham University, a highly-ranked UK university.

Centres wishing to deliver these ABP qualifications can opt for either internal assessment or external assessment.

ABP Qualifications in other languages

ABP qualifications can now be assessed in languages other than English. Middlesex University has agreed to allow holders of the Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business Management (4 grade Bs or above), delivered and assessed in a language other than English, and awarded by ABP to progress directly onto the final year of a choice of two Bachelors (Hons) degrees. Students should also possess IELTS 6.0.

Worldwide Accreditations

ABP has recently accredited in-house programmes, and in certain cases, secured UK university degree ‘top-ups’ for centres in the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Bangladesh.
